The 6th Annual Monster Truck Thunder Drags at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds,  saw six of the top monster trucks, racing in side by side competition. As well as the Monster Trucks, there was also Motocross & Tough Truck action. For the true Monster Truck fan there was Monster Truck rides, in the Overkill ride truck.

The event which is part of the Special Events Performance Series, saw a jam packed stadium on both Friday & Saturday nights, with a slightly smaller crowd on the sunday.


With the weather in Springfield hitting the high 90's low 100's, it made for one hot place. Luckily with the Friday & Saturday show's being in the evening, it made it a little cooler for the drivers, who had to spend the duration of the show's in their firesuits. However with sunday's show being in the afternoon, & with the temperature being over 100 degrees, you can imagine the drivers, must have felt like they where on fire !

The six Monster Trucks which attended the three day show where the Bulldozer, Equalizer, Gun Slinger, Nitemare & Sudden Impact.
Samson arrived on the second day of the show & raced on the saturday & sunday.

The trucks raced Chicago style & straight line courses. Some of the trucks also did freestyle each night.
